Pinned repos for Chrome

GitPin

Free to use

The repos and links you use most, one click away.

GitPin is a Chrome extension that puts a pin next to every repo on GitHub. Pin the repos and links you use most, then open them from a drawer that slides out from the right side of the page. No more searching GitHub or digging through bookmarks.

Take the tour.

A GitHub trending page with a pin button next to each repo name.

Three repos are pinned and shown in gold. A pin tab sits on the right edge of the page.

The GitPin drawer lists pins in groups: facebook, vercel, EchelonOne-io, and Links.

The facebook group is collapsed to a single header row.

Typing next in the filter box narrows the drawer to the vercel/next.js pin.

The drawer on the docs site shows the new link at the end of the Links group, ready to drag.

Pin repos where you find them. GitPin adds a pin next to every repo link on GitHub. One click saves it.

Your pins, one click away. Pinned repos turn gold. Click the tab on the right edge, the toolbar icon, or press ⌃⇧P to slide out the drawer.

Grouped by organization. Repos sit under their GitHub org or user, and everything else goes in Links.

Fold away what you don’t need. Collapse any group, and GitPin remembers it the next time you open the drawer.

Type to jump straight there. A few letters narrow the list across every group. Enter opens the first match, and ⌘+Enter opens it in a new tab.

Pin links from any site. Right-click a link anywhere on the web and choose Pin link to GitPin. The link’s text becomes its title.

Keep pins in your order. New links land in Links. Drag any pin up or down within its group, and press ⌃⇧P to open the drawer on any site.

Features

What GitPin does.

Pin straight from GitHub

A small pin appears next to repo links on trending, search, profile, and repo pages. One click pins the repo.

Pin any link

Right-click a link on any site and choose Pin link to GitPin, or pin the page you’re on.

Slide-out drawer

Open your pins from the tab on the edge of GitHub, the toolbar icon, or a keyboard shortcut.

Filter as you type

Type a few letters and press Enter to open the first match. ⌘+Enter opens it in a new tab.

Drag to reorder

Keep the repos you open most at the top of the list.

Grouped by organization

Pins are grouped under their GitHub org or user, with the owner’s avatar and collapsible sections. Other links get a group of their own.

GitPin needs no account and has no server. Your pins stay in your browser, and the source is on GitHub.

Who It’s For

Made for people like you.
